关于 Turkmenistani Manat
The current Turkmenistani Manat (TMT) was introduced in 2009, replacing the old Manat (TMM) at a rate of 5,000 old Manats to 1 new Manat. This redenomination aimed to simplify calculations and present a more credible currency.
The name 'Manat' is derived from the Russian word 'moneta' (монета), meaning 'coin'.
