SellBot App Terms of Service

By installing SellBot on your Shopify store you represent that you have authority to bind the store owner to these Terms. These Terms form a binding agreement between you (the merchant or authorized representative) and CurrencyWiki Technologies LLC.

SellBot provides the following services for your Shopify store:

• An AI-powered chat widget that answers shopper questions in real time
• Product recommendations drawn from your synced Shopify catalog
• 7 Smart Triggers for proactive chat (cart idle, exit intent, page dwell, etc.)
• Smart Match product quiz and Side-by-Side product comparison
• Back-in-stock waitlist with opt-in shopper email notifications
• Live Agent handoff with timeout fallback and merchant email alerts
• Inbox + Corrected Responses to review and fix AI answers
• Optional integration with your own Anthropic / OpenAI / Google API keys (Bring-Your-Own-Key, available on all paid plans)

Payment for SellBot is processed through Shopify's billing system.

SellBot generates responses using third-party AI models (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, or Google Gemini — whichever you select). AI-generated responses are not always accurate. You acknowledge that:

• AI answers may contain factual errors, outdated information, or product details that no longer match your catalog.
• You are responsible for reviewing AI responses in your Inbox and using the Corrected Responses feature to teach the AI about your store.
• We are not liable for losses caused by shoppers relying on AI-generated responses, including pricing or availability errors.
• You must not rely on SellBot for legal, medical, tax, or financial advice and must not instruct the AI to provide such advice on your behalf.

You agree to use SellBot in compliance with all applicable laws and Shopify's Terms of Service and App Store Guidelines. You must not:

• Sell illegal goods, counterfeit products, weapons, or other items prohibited by Shopify
• Use SellBot for spam, harassment, or misleading shoppers about product origin, safety, or performance
• Attempt to abuse, exploit, or overload our service (e.g. scripted mass requests, prompt injection attacks)
• Reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works of the App
• Configure the AI to impersonate a specific real person or deceive shoppers about who they are talking to
• Violate any export-control, sanctions, or data-protection law

If you connect your own Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google API keys (Bring-Your-Own-Key, available on all paid plans):

• Keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM before being written to our database.
• You are solely responsible for provider charges and for keeping keys active with sufficient credit.
• You must not use keys that belong to another party without permission.
• You may rotate or remove keys at any time from the app Settings; removed keys are deleted from our systems within 24 hours.

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

• We target 99.9% uptime but this is not a contractual SLA.
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced where possible via the app admin or email.
• AI provider outages (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) are outside our control — SellBot will attempt to fall back to an alternative provider when one is configured.
• We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions, AI provider downtime, or Shopify platform outages.

You own your product catalog, conversations, and all data you import into SellBot. We process this data on your behalf as a service provider.

• You may export your data at any time from the app Settings.
• We do not train third-party AI models on your store's data.
• Anonymized, aggregate usage statistics (counts, not content) may be used to improve SellBot for all merchants.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CurrencyWiki Technologies LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of SellBot.

• Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We make no warranty, express or implied, beyond what is required by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the app admin or merchant email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of SellBot after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
