3 Hover Cards & Inline Prices
When browsing shopping sites, Currency.Wiki automatically detects prices and can show conversions in several ways:
Display Modes
Hover Only
Hover your mouse over any price to see a popup with conversions to all your favorite currencies.
Inline Only
Shows a small converted price badge next to detected prices on the page.
Inline + Hover
Get both! See inline badges and hover for the full conversion popup.

How to Change the Mode
- Click the Currency.Wiki icon in your toolbar
- Go to AI Features tab
- Select your preferred mode under "In-Page Conversion"
Refresh Button
Look for the small refresh icon at the bottom of the page. Click it to re-scan the page for new prices - useful when:
- The page loads new content dynamically
- You scroll to reveal more products
- Prices update without a page reload
Note: If prices aren't being detected correctly, try using "Force Base Currency" to manually set the source currency for that website.
4 AI Smart Scan PRO
AI Smart Scan uses artificial intelligence to extract ALL visible prices from any shopping page and convert them instantly.
How to Use Smart Scan
There are two ways to start a Smart Scan:
1 From Extension Popup
- Click the Currency.Wiki icon
- Go to "AI Features" tab
- Click "Run Smart Scan Now"
2 Using the FAB Button
Look for the floating action button (FAB) on shopping pages. You can:
- Click it to instantly start scanning
- Drag it anywhere on the page
- Navigate to a product page - Go to any e-commerce site (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc.)
- Scroll to the products you want - Smart Scan extracts prices from your current view
- Start the scan - Use either the popup or the FAB button
- View results - A panel opens showing all extracted products with conversions
Pro Tip: Smart Scan only captures what's visible on your screen. Scroll to the products you want to convert, then scan. This gives you faster results and uses fewer credits!
Smart Scan Features
- Export results - Download as CSV, HTML, or TXT file
- Sort by price - Find the cheapest or most expensive items (sorting is preserved in HTML exports)
- Search products - Filter results by product name
- Choose currencies - Select which conversions to display
- Rescan - Scan again if the page has changed
View Options
Side Panel
Opens results in Chrome's side panel. Keep browsing while viewing conversions.
New Tab
Opens results in a full new tab for a larger view.
Credits: Smart Scan uses AI credits from your account. Free users get limited credits monthly. Upgrade to PRO for more credits.

6 Troubleshooting
Prices aren't being detected
- Make sure "In-Page Conversion" is enabled in AI Features
- Check if the site is blocked in Privacy settings
- Try refreshing the page
- Some sites use unusual price formats - use Smart Scan instead
Wrong currency detected
- Use "Force Base Currency" in AI Features to manually set the correct source currency
- This is common on international Amazon sites (e.g., Amazon.com.mx showing $ but prices are in MXN)
Extension icon is grey
- You're on a protected financial site (banks, crypto exchanges, etc.)
- The extension automatically disables for your security
- You can temporarily unblock if needed via the popup
Smart Scan finds no products
- Make sure you're on a product listing or product detail page
- Scroll to load any lazy-loaded content first
- Try on a different page type (search results, category pages)
- Some websites may need special support - contact us to request it
Popup not opening
- Make sure the extension is enabled in Chrome's extension settings
- Try pinning the extension to your toolbar
- Restart Chrome if the issue persists
